Promise (Lent 2B)

Building on last week’s project, this week will look at the promise given to Abraham to have descendants as numerous as the stars, which we learn from Paul are descendants of faith. This week begin by drawing yourself in a position of praise. The traditional position is with arms outstretched and hands upturned to catch the blessings from above, it’s called the orans position. Or if there is another position you prefer, use that.

Now begin by drawing a star and writing one of your blessings on it. Continue to do this as you fill the sky with stars. Keep this beside your tree to remind yourself of the blessings you have in your life that make it worthwhile to resist the temptations.
