Reign of Christ (Proper 29B)

For today’s inspiration, we’re going to look at 2 Samuel 23:1-7, which is David’s last words and an oracle of God. If you read carefully, David does not predict Jesus but describes a just ruler in natural metaphors and asks if his rule has been this way.

So ask yourself what the world might look like if the kingdom of God reigned on earth. How would we treat each other personally and as a society? What would your role be in bringing that about?

Then draw or paint that image.
